Privacy Policy

Effective date: October 27, 2026

This Privacy Policy explains how Property Inspections Plus, LLC (“Property Inspections Plus,” “we,” “us” or “our”), a home inspection company based in Gilbert, Arizona, collects, uses, shares and protects information about you. It applies to our website at propertyinspectionsplus.com (including any of our other web addresses that lead to it), the tools on our website, and the ways you contact us by phone, text or email.

When you hire us for an inspection, the inspection agreement you sign also applies. If anything in that agreement is different from this policy, the agreement controls for that inspection.

Information we collect

Information you give us

  • When you contact us. If you call, text or email us, we receive what you share, such as your name, phone number, email address, the property address, your closing timeline and your questions.
  • When you schedule an inspection. Online booking runs through Spectora, our inspection software. To book, you or your agent provide details such as your name, phone number, email address, the property address, the services you want, your real estate agent’s information and payment details.
  • When you use Pay At Close. Pay At Close is provided by Spectora. If you choose it, Spectora collects what it needs to arrange payment at closing, such as your closing or title company details and a backup credit card. We do not store your card number.
  • When an agent or someone else books for you. Real estate agents, sellers, builders and family members sometimes schedule inspections or share contact details for a buyer. We use that information to set up and complete the inspection.
  • When you comment on our blog. If you leave a comment, we collect the name, email address and website you enter, the comment itself, your IP address and your browser information.

Information we collect during an inspection

An inspection involves recording information about the property, including notes, photos, video, thermal images, sewer camera footage, drone images of the roof, and lab results for any mold or air quality testing you order. This information is about the home, but it is connected to your inspection order and your report.

Information collected automatically

Like most websites, our site and the companies that help run it automatically receive basic technical information when you visit, such as your IP address, browser and device type, the pages you view, the time of your visit and the website that sent you to us. We use this to keep the site running, secure and working well, and to understand which pages are useful.

Information that stays in your browser

Some tools on our site, such as the walkthrough checklists, the year-built checker and the agent buyer handout, save your progress in your own browser so it is still there when you come back. That information is stored on your device and is not sent to us. Photos you add to the agent buyer handout also stay in your browser and are not uploaded to our website. Our accessibility tool may also remember your display settings on your device. You can clear all of this at any time by clearing your browser’s site data.

How we use your information

  • To schedule, perform and follow up on your inspection, and to deliver your report.
  • To answer your questions and keep you, and anyone you ask us to include, updated about your inspection.
  • To process payment, including through Pay At Close.
  • To set up services connected to your inspection, such as the termite warranty described below.
  • To send occasional home care tips and seasonal reminders to past clients. You can stop these at any time (see “Your choices”).
  • To run, secure and improve our website, including filtering spam comments.
  • To keep business, tax and insurance records, and to meet our legal and professional obligations.
  • To protect our rights and the safety of our clients, our team and the public.

Your inspection report

Your report is delivered to you through Spectora. We share your report with the people you authorize, such as your real estate agent, and as described in your inspection agreement. We do not give your report to anyone else unless you ask us to or we are required to by law, such as a subpoena or court order.

Photos and video we publish

We share educational content about homes and inspections on our website, our YouTube channel and our social media. That content may include photos or video taken during inspections. We work to leave out clients’ names, contact details and other personal information. If you would rather we not use footage from your inspection, tell us before or during your inspection. If you see content you believe identifies you or your home and want it removed, contact us and we will review your request.

How we share information

We do not sell your personal information, and we do not share it for advertising by other companies. We share information only in these situations:

  • People you authorize. Your real estate agent, a co-buyer, or anyone else you ask us to include.
  • Service providers that help us run the business. These include Spectora (scheduling, reports and Pay At Close), our website host GoDaddy, our email provider, spam filtering for blog comments (Akismet), and laboratories that analyze any mold or air quality samples you order. They may use your information only to provide their services.
  • Our termite warranty partner. Every home inspection includes a termite (WDO) inspection at no extra charge, plus a 1-year termite warranty through Firehouse Pest Control in Gilbert if no active termites are found. We may share the information needed to set up and honor that warranty, such as your name, contact details and the property address.
  • Contractors and specialists, at your request. If you ask us to connect you with a contractor or specialist, we may share the details needed for that introduction.
  • Legal and safety reasons. When required by law, regulation or legal process, or to protect the rights, property or safety of our clients, our team or others.
  • Business changes. If our business is sold, merged or reorganized, information may be transferred as part of that transaction, and it will stay protected by a policy like this one.

Cookies and similar technologies

Cookies are small files saved by your browser. Our site uses them in a few ways:

  • Comment cookies. If you leave a comment, you can choose to save your name, email address and website in cookies so you don’t have to type them again. These last one year.
  • Login cookies. These are used only by the people who manage our website.
  • Analytics. We may use Google Analytics to understand how visitors use our site, such as which pages are visited and how people found us. Google’s use of that data is covered by its own privacy policy, and you can opt out with the Google Analytics opt-out browser add-on from Google.
  • Embedded videos. Many pages include videos from our YouTube channel. When you play an embedded video, YouTube (owned by Google) may set cookies and collect information about your viewing, just as if you visited YouTube directly.
  • Fonts and profile images. Our site loads fonts from Google Fonts. Profile pictures next to comments may come from the Gravatar service, which may receive an anonymized version of a commenter’s email address. These services receive your IP address when the files load.

Most browsers let you block or delete cookies in their settings. If you block them, some parts of the site may not work as intended. Our site does not respond to “Do Not Track” browser signals, because there is no common standard for them yet.

Links to other websites

Our site links to other websites, including Spectora’s scheduler and sample report, Firehouse Pest Control, our social media pages (YouTube, Facebook, Instagram, LinkedIn, X and Yelp), license and certification lookups, and the government and industry sources we reference in our articles. We are not responsible for how those sites handle your information, so please read their privacy policies.

How long we keep information

We keep inspection records, reports, photos and related communications for as long as we need them to serve you, to answer questions about an inspection later, and to meet our legal, professional, insurance and tax obligations. Blog comments and their details are kept until they are removed. When we no longer need information, we delete it or keep it in a form that no longer identifies you.

How we protect information

We use reasonable safeguards to protect the information we hold, including secure (HTTPS) connections on our website, password-protected accounts, and trusted providers for scheduling, reports and payments. No website, email or storage system is completely secure, so we can’t guarantee absolute security. If we learn of a breach that affects your personal information, we will notify you as required by law.

Your choices

  • Home care emails. Reply STOP to any of our tips emails, or contact us, and we will take you off the list.
  • Access, corrections and deletion. You can ask to see the personal information we hold about you, ask us to correct it, or ask us to delete it. We may need to keep some records for legal, insurance or business reasons, and we will tell you if that applies.
  • Published content. You can ask us to review and remove inspection content you believe identifies you, as described above.
  • Cookies and browser storage. You can block or clear cookies and site data in your browser settings.

To make a request, use the contact details below. We may need to confirm your identity before acting on a request. If the privacy laws of the state you live in give you additional rights, we will honor them as those laws require.

Children’s privacy

Our website and services are meant for adults buying, selling or owning homes. We do not knowingly collect personal information from children under 13. If you believe a child has given us personal information, contact us and we will delete it.

Changes to this policy

We may update this policy from time to time. When we do, we will post the new version on this page and change the effective date at the top. If we make a significant change, we may also let you know in other ways.
